Where the Wild Things Are

Friday November 8th

Doors open 6:15pm Pick up 8:30pm

++For the safety of our students you will need to come into the school to sign your student(s) in and out. This is a drop off event for 1st-5th grade students, Pre-K and Kindergarten students need to have an adult stay inside the building for the duration of the movie. Movie Night is for students who currently attend McKenny.++

Please complete online registration by Friday November 8th at 12pm so we can plan accordingly.

• $5 for first student, $4 for each additional student. Be sure all the tickets you need are in your cart before checkout. Once you have added your tickets to cart select 'continue' and fill out the sign up form then click ' continue to checkout' for the payment page.

• Students are welcome to wear PJs, bring pillows and blankets.

• Intermission will include popcorn, small snack, and juice box, as well as a raffle of the featured movie. The raffle winner will be chosen from CheddarUp signups.

McKenny PTO is proud to host Movie Night with the help of volunteers, once you have added tickets to your cart there is a section on the sign up form where you can volunteer for a task. Volunteers will be awarded a free pass for a future Movie Night.

Read-a-thon Reward: If you have received a free movie night code for completing 100+ minutes during Read-a-thon be sure to enter it on the checkout page.

We will be killing the grass to prepare the ground for native plantings in the fall. These native plants will serve as a source of cultural, scientific and artistic resources for our teachers and students. We will be emptying and repositioning the garden boxes to sunny areas. These will be filled with quality soil in winter for the students to use to grow herbs and vegetables.

WE NEED MULCH! ARE YOU AN ARBORIST? DO YOU KNOW AN ARBORIST? WE NEED A GOOD MIX OF MULCHED LEAVES, AND BRANCHES TO BE DELIVERED IN JULY. DOUGLAS FIR AND THINGS OF THE LIKE IS A-OK.

Thursday February 29th community hearing hosted by OSD school board.

6:00pm-8:00pm McKenny multipurpose room (gym/cafeteria) or on zoom.

The school board will be accepting public comment during this meeting in regards to the possible closure of McKenny Elementary.

Mark your calendars for the next movie night featuring Finding Dory, Friday January 26th, doors open at 6:15pm!

The cost is $5 for the first student and $4 for each additional student.

Movie night is open to all current McKenny students Pre-K through 5th grade.

An adult is required to stay with Pre-K and Kindergarten students for the duration of the movie.
